Corporate Summary:

Denny Forbes Construction Inc. is a Saskatchewan based company, formed in 1991, primarily involved in the earth moving sector of the heavy construction industry.  We are a third generation private company which has operated out of Regina, Saskatchewan for over 70 years. The majority of projects completed have been in Saskatchewan although some work has been undertaken in both Manitoba and Alberta. The company has successfully completed projects for a variety of clients/owners involving industrial, commercial and residential subdivision grading, site preparation and road construction, significant drainage ditches and associated drainage works, sewage lagoons with/without earth and synthetic liners, various highway grading and drainage projects, a number of high output grain handling plant site works and fertilizer plant site works including tailings and evaporation ponds with/without both earth and/or synthetic liners.  Since key company personnel are related to and formerly worked for Forbes Construction Ltd., we also have working experience with railway embankments, spur lines, sidings, large diameter culvert replacements for trestle bridges, real unloading docks, etc. 

Safety Requirements and Compliance:

Denny Forbes Construction Inc. is ISN certified. The company is fully committed to compliance with all Safety Specifications required.   Specifically, we are committed to ensuring that all personnel are aware of and comply with the overall Safety Management Systems, Site Rules, OH&S Safety Committee requirements including participation in joint committees as required, the development of specific Emergency Response procedures and adherence with the other policies, standards and procedures of the site.  

Our company also holds a valid COR as issued by the Heavy Construction Safety Association of Saskatchewan and is current with all requirements to maintain that certification. A copy of the COR can be provided on request.  Our Corporate Safety Program Manual can also be provided on request along with any other safety documentation. 

Equipment:

Denny Forbes Construction Inc. owns a full inventory of late model earth moving equipment including motor scrapers, dozers, hydraulic track excavator, articulating dump trucks, motor graders, compaction equipment, water application equipment and other support equipment.  Depending on project requirements, additional and/or specialty units can be leased to supplement the regular fleet.  The existing fleet typically moves about 5 million cu. meters of earth annually. 

The use of GPS grade controlled equipment systems is also utilized by the company. Generally these grade control systems are installed on motor graders, motor scrapers and dozers.  The use of grade controlled equipment provides clients with increased flexibility to accommodate design changes, increase grading accuracy, increase compaction when placing material in lifts and reduced surveying costs.
